Saving our local health services – Opposing any move to close the Walk In and Minor Injuries Unit in Gravesham
The Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley Clinical Commission Group has started a consultation to axe the ‘White Horse’ Walk In GP centre and the Minor Injuries Unit at Gravesend Community Hospital and relocate them potentially to Darent Valley Hospital.
Tory Government imposed austerity in alive and well in our precious NHS and this is now impacting on our local health services.
All local residents know that our local health services are already very busy and sending them to a hospital a distance away will create additional issues for local people including transport and parking costs as well as the time it would take to get to Darent Valley Hospital.
We are encouraging all residents to complete the survey by visiting https://www.dartfordgraveshamswanleyccg.nhs.uk/2019/02/08/urgent-treatment-centre-dartford-gravesham-swanley-tell-us-views/ or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
The policy of the Gravesham Labour Party is that we are committed to opposing any move to take away local health services from Gravesham as they are needed here.
We have started a petition copies of which are available by e-mailing email@example.com to lobby the Tory Secretary of State for Health to intervene and retain both a walk in centre and a Minor Injuries Unit here in Gravesham
