Stay at Home, Protect the NHS, Save Lives

Stay at home, Protect the NHS, Save Lives

  • Only go outside for food, health reasons or work (but only if you cannot work from home)
  • If you go out, stay 2 metres (6ft) away from other people at all times
  • Wash your hands as soon as you get home
  • Do not meet others, even friends or family.
  • You can spread the virus even if you don’t have symptoms.

Public Health England are updating the coronavirus page on the GOV.UK website daily with the latest information.

GOV.UK have launched a Coronavirus WhatsApp Information Service. The new free to use service aims to provide official, trustworthy and timely information and advice about coronavirus (COVID-19), and will further reduce the burden on NHS services. For accurate and up to date information, simply add 07860 064422 in your phone contacts and then message the word ‘hi’ in a WhatsApp message to get started.

There are things we can all do to help stop viruses like coronavirus spreading:

  • cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze
  • put used tissues in the bin immediately
  • wash your hands with soap and water often – use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available
  • try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell
  • do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean.

If you are worried about your symptoms, use the online NHS 111 coronavirus service or call NHS 111. Do not go directly to your GP, pharmacy, hospital or other healthcare setting.
